1To our out-of-town visitors: we know you love Lake Mac, but we ask that you respect the health and safety of our small community by staying home at this time. Thank you for doing your part!  The Lake McConaughy Visitors Center is closed until further notice, as are all shower houses and playgrounds/structures at the SRA. Park events are canceled through May 31. Nonresident spring turkey hunting permits have been suspended. The Nebraska Game & Parks Commission is monitoring the public health situation closely, as it changes daily.  Please check  www.outdoornebraska.gov/healthinfo for the latest information on closures or modifications to services.

2As a small rural community with limited health care resources, we’re requesting that everyone comply with the information provided by our president, governor and state health officials. Governor Ricketts has stated, “The next several weeks will be key to slowing the spread of the #COVID19 virus in Nebraska. We are asking Nebraskans to further limit social interactions. Everyone should work, go home, and shop once a week. Stay home whenever possible.” We miss our visitors and we will invite you back soon. But for now we’re asking to please stay home for us.

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services recommends anyone coming to Nebraska or back to Nebraska from out-of-state should limit public interactions, practice strict social distancing, self-monitor for symptoms, and self-quarantine for 14 days.
