NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-You could feel the excitement and hear the rumbling of tummies when Mayor Dwight Livingston announced that Cody Park Rides and Concessions would open this Saturday, May 2.
Unfortunately, those plans have been foiled due to concerns over COVID-19 and we will all have to wait a while longer to indulge in ice cream and other treats and ride the famous rides.
The Mayor issued the following statement on Friday:
Public Service Director, Lane Groseth, announced today that the May 2nd opening of the Cody Park Concession Stand has been postponed. Cody Concessions will tentatively open May 11th, 2020, in an effort to be better prepared to provide for the health and well-being of our citizens.
Thank you for your patience and understanding,
Mayor Dwight Livingston
