Bobby 'Bob' V. Batterman (1942-2020

Bobby "Bob" V. Batterman, age 78, formerly of Ogallala, Nebraska, passed away, Sunday, May 10, 2020 at the Beatrice Health and Rehabilitation Center in Beatrice, Nebraska.

Bob was born on April 9, 1942 in Oklahoma City, OK to Andrew Seward and LaVada Wilson (Breshears) Batterman. 

He graduated from Hereford High School in Hereford, TX in 1960. Bob was a long-time resident of Ogallala, where he worked selling office supplies. He was a salesman for several years at Modern Office Equipment before opening his own business, Rodech, until retiring in Ogallala. 

On September 23, 1999, he was united in marriage to Ruby White in Ogallala.

Bob was an avid gardener who enjoyed canning, cooking and baking. He was a die-hard Nebraska Huskers football fan, who will no doubt continue to cheer them on from the Heavens.    

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother; Fred Batterman; 1 sister; Juanita Plunk; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Those left to cherish memories of him are his wife; Ruby, of Beatrice; his children; Roxanne Batterman, of Loveland, OH; Debbie Batterman, of Roeland Park, KS; Chet (Jill) Batterman, of Lawrence, KS; grandchildren; Jacob, Jimmy, Quinten, Zachary and Olivia, all of Lawrence, KS; Daniella, Alexander, and Andrea Fiani, all of Loveland, OH; his siblings; Gene (Helmi) Batterman, of Hereford, TX; Sandra (Bob) Stotts, of Ponca City, OK; Linda (Ralph) Phillips, of Amarillo, TX; step-children; Lisa (Darren) Anderson; Mark (Candace) Ribble; step-grandchildren; Michelle Kilsdonk, Ryan and Joel Anderson, Cory, Madison and Teressa Mendosa, and Taiton and Tevon Benham.

Visitation will be held, Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. in the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel in Ogallala. Due to the recent health concerns we will be following the mandated 10 people maximum rule. 

A private family graveside service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2020 in the Ash Hollow Cemetery in Lewellen, NE, with Pastor Eric Wait of the New Hope Church officiating.

A memorial has been established in his name.
