NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-North Platte Community College will offer an online Home Canning Basics class this summer in conjunction with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
The live webinar will be from 6-7:30 p.m. June 2 and will be taught by Brenda Aufdenkamp, a UNL extension educator who specializes in the areas of food, nutrition and health.
The class will cover everything from the kind and quality of canning equipment needed to the steps of safely preserving fruits, vegetables and jellies.
