FULTON, Mo. (AP) - A man and woman have been charged after a police pursuit and a 13-hour search by authorities in central Missouri.

Drew Pierce, 31, of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Ronnie Lloyd, 31, of Fulton, were being held in Callaway County after their arrest Tuesday.

Pierce, who is also wanted in Nebraska on a warrant for a felony weapons offense, faces seven charges, including resisting arrest and first-degree assault.

Lloyd is facing five charges, including burglary and resisting arrest.

The police chase began Monday evening after Fulton officers tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle eventually stopped and officers were trying to detain the suspects when their car moved, prompting officers to fire their weapons, the sheriff's office said. The two suspects were not hit.

One officer was struck by the moving vehicle. He was treated and released at a Fulton hospital, The Fulton Sun reported.

Pierce and Lloyd fled and the vehicle, which was stolen in Nebraska, was later found abandoned. Law enforcement officers and search dogs from several surrounding agencies searched for them for several hours before the men were arrested Tuesday morning.

Online court records do not name attorneys for either suspect.
