Legion Baseball is close to returning on June 1st and the Legion program here in North Platte has a new skipper at the helm.
Andy Butler the new head coach of the Legion Baseball here in North Platte. Butler coached the NP Juniors back in 2017 and works at NPHS as a coach in various sports.
Butler and the board made it formal after on May 26th.
Also joining the program as an assistant coach is NPHS Alumni and McCook Community College outfielder Kade Wroot. Wroot played two years for McCook as an outfielder. His sophomore season he played 16 games with a .288 batting avg.
Butler and Wroot look to get started immediately, they have little time to become acclimated. Tryouts are scheduled for June 1st and 2nd with games starting on June 18th.
