
Bonnell “Bonnie/Boots” Laverne Hyde, 94, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away on May 30th. She was born in Altona (Wayne, Nebraska on July 13th, 1925.
Bonnell was married to Virgil Hyde, in Phoenix City, Alabama on June, 16th 1943. When she was younger she loved bowling, playing Gin Rummey and was a beautiful singer. She was the manager at S and H Green Stamps for 30 years. Her greatest gifts were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was loved by many, including staff members at Linden Court. One staff member said that the highlight of going to work was getting to see Bonnie.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Virgil “Boomps” Hyde; parents, Ada and Ernest Bahde; brothers, Donald, Robert and Buster Bahde; sister, Barbara McEntee and son in law, Dudley Oltmans. She is survived by her children Mike (Deb) Hyde and Peggy Oltmans; grandchildren, Craig (Shelly) Cox, Sami Erickson and Val (Courtney) Hyde; great grandchildren, Marisa, Gunner, Cameron and Vinni Cox and Colton Givins; Jaydn Brown, Rylan and Brecken Erickson; and Corby Condon; and younger brother, Patrick (Pete) Bahde.
She was the kindest, feistiest, loving Nana and will be missed dearly.
Private family graveside services will be held at Fort McPherson at a later date. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
