
NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-The City of North Platte’s contractor, Paulsen Inc., will be starting Phase II of the Downtown Enhancement Project beginning Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
East 6th Street will continue to be closed until construction is completed from Jeffers Street to Chestnut Street. Phase two includes closure of Dewey Street from 4th Street to 6th Street including the intersection at 5th Street.
Traffic on Bailey Street from 5th Street to 6th Street will remain temporary two-way traffic until completion of Phase I on 6th Street.
Parking will be allowed on 5th Street from Jeffers Street to Dewey Street with a temporary turn around at Dewey Street and on 5th Street from Bailey Street to Dewey Street with a temporary turn around at Dewey Street.
Work shall include removal of bricks and paving, replacement of storm sewer and water mains then replacement of the pavement, bricks and sidewalks.
Alternate routes are necessary as traffic in this area will be closed.
Please use caution around the construction area and observe and follow all signs for the safety of you and the workers.
