News Release

NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-Paws-itive Partners announces they are cancelling Woofstock scheduled for August 22, 2020.  "We were hoping the COVID-19 virus situation would be resolved but not knowing makes planning and preparation too difficult for our annual event," said Paws-itive Partners president Jo Mayber.  The annual Woofstock draws hundreds of people and dogs to Memorial Park in North Platte.  "We are disappointed, but it is best - for the safety of all - to cancel this year's celebration because of restrictions and uncertainties.  Woofstock 2020 would be the thirteenth year attendees could enjoy a barbeque, raffles, vendor shopping, veterinary clinics services and dog ice cream.
Although Woofstock's day-long event is cancelled, Paws-itive Partners is going forward with two of Woofstock's favorite hallmarks: dog contests and T-shirts.
Paws-itive Partners vice president Lora Wood and daughters, Daytona and Rei, are working to take dog contests online.  The public will be able to watch dogs compete on virtual viewing.  For information about virtual dog contests check Paws-itive Partners' Facebook beginning August 1, 2020.
This year's Woofstock T-shirts feature a COVID-19 theme.  The T-shirts add a touch of humor to a very serious situation, commemorating the year Woofstock was cancelled and showing dogs wearing PPE masks.  T-shirts are available from size small youth to 3X adult and prices range from $13 to $18.  To order Woofstock T-shirts call 308-530-1516 or check Paws-itive Partners' Facebook page beginning June 26, 2020.
