Kelly Jo Morris, 63, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away February 4, 2022 at Great Plains Health. She was born July 23, 1958 to Duane and Beth (Swanson) Dunbar in North Platte.
Kelly graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1976. She married Michael R. Morris, January 12, 1980 in North Platte. They resided in North Platte for a time before moving various places always ready for the next adventure. She raised three beautiful children while also helping her spouse with raising troubled teens at Johnny Walkers Boys Ranch. After some time in Colorado, she returned to her hometown North Platte to be closer to family. She will always be remembered as having a smile, positive attitude and wonderful mother.
Kelly is survived by her husband, Mike of North Platte; parents, Duane and Beth Dunbar, North Platte; three children, Ben (Emily) Morris, Winter Park, Colorado, Laura (Phil) Masters, Phoenix, Arizona, Michelle Morris, North Platte; four grandchildren, Molly Masters, Max Masters, Michael Morris and Kyra Morris; sister, Becky (Jim) Leininger, Aurora, Nebraska; brother, Dan (Becky) Dunbar, Wisner, Nebraska; several other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her brother Craig Dunbar.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday February 9, 2022 at the North Platte Berean Church, with Rev. John Stone officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska. Visitation will be noon – 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 8, at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home. The service will be livestreamed via the Adams & Swanson Facebook page for those unable to attend.
