
Butch Henry Henderson, 72, of Sutherland, Nebraska, passed away July 15, 2023 at the Ogallala Community Hospital, Ogallala, Nebraska. He was born September 30, 1950 in Whitesboro, Texas to Henry Lee and Mable (Patton) Henderson.
Butch attended school in Panhandle, Texas. He left school early to help care for his mother, who had cancer. Butch was involved in trucking most of his life. Earning the handle “Purple Foot”. He resided with Carolyn Crow in 1990 and they lived in Oklahoma. They were united in marriage and to this union two children were born: Elaine and Henry. They joined Carolyn’s two children Chris and Zenobia. In 2006 Butch, Elaine and Henry moved to Nebraska where Butch was owner and operator for Crete Carriers. In January 2017 he received the “Driver of the Month” award, driving 5 million safe accident- free miles. He enjoyed racing, bowling, card games and cribbage, spending time with this family, going to the lake, embraced technology, especially taking selfies.
Butch is survived by his children, Elaine (George) Tridle, Paxton, Nebraska, Henry (Dakota) Henderson, Sutherland, Nebraska, Chris Crow, Paxton, Nebraska, Zenobia Dean, Paxton, Nebraska; grandchildren, Pyper Tridle, Parker Tridle, Peityn Tridle, Dillon Henderson, Brooklynn Henderson, Jordan Crow, Desirae Crow, Aidan Crow, Ziyanne Tyrell, Cashous Tyrell, Angel Dean; six great-grandchildren; sister, Carlene Tolbert, Wellington, Texas; special nephew, Dicky Tolbert, Burnett, Texas; along with several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mable Henderson; grandson, Zach Tyrell; brothers, Allen Lee Henderson and Kenneth Henderson; sister Carol Tolbert; nieces Truetta Tolbert and Jana Tolbert.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Tiller officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverview Cemetery, Sutherland, Nebraska. Visitation will be noon to 7:00 P.M., Friday, July 21, with family receiving friends from 5 – 7, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements. The service will be live streamed via the Adams & Swanson Facebook page for those unable to attend.
