Nicki Senseney, age 73 of Valentine, passed away February 19, 2021 at Cherry County Hospital.
Nicki was born November 9, 1948, in Winner, South Dakota. Her parents were Twila Nadine (Mann) Dewing and Buddy F Dewing.
Nicki married Steven Senseney in 1987. She had two children, Kelli Cole (married to Jason Cole) and Christopher Senseney (married to Stefanie Drootin-Senseney). She had four grandchildren: Jacob Cole, Ana Cole, Henry Senseney, and Twila Senseney.
Nicki’s generous and loving spirit will be deeply missed by so many who crossed her path. She was the best listener, advice giver, and caretaker, and she formed personal connections wherever she went.
Nicki and Steve formed a solid foundation in their Valentine, Nebraska home and shared a peaceful and contented life together, talking walks, talking politics and world events, and frequently visiting their kids in Colorado and California.
All the children in Nicki’s life were drawn to her energy and her fun-loving and playful personality. She was everything to her grandchildren, and they were everything to her.
Nicki was preceded in death by her parents and an older brother, Richard Grooms (died July 25, 1969).
She is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren, her siblings Patricia Deutsch, Cort Dewing, and Bart Dewing, and her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
