NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-A North Platte man has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted a juvenile during an argument.
Police said on April 30, at around 5:57 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of W. 14th St. where a disturbance involving a juvenile was reported.
Officers arrived and learned the juvenile involved had left the area on foot.
Officers located the juvenile and observed injuries to her face.
Police said officers investigated further and learned that the juvenile had been involved in an argument with Clark Brown, 40.
Police said during the argument, Brown held the juvenile down by her throat and punched her in the face.
The juvenile was transported to Great Plains Health and treated for her injuries.
Police said probable cause was established to arrest Brown and, on May 3, he was taken into custody on suspicion of assault, strangulation and child abuse.
Brown was jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
