Anne Fhuere of North Platte peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on December 26, 2023, at the age of 84.
Anne was born September 22, 1939, to August and Elsie Bieber in North Platte. She graduated from N.P.H.S. and then got married.
In November of 1956, Anne married Allison Fhuere in Bernalillo, NM. Since Allison was serving in the military the couple began their married life living in various places, but no matter where they were, Anne always considered North Platte home.
Anne was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling the United States and in later years liked going to casinos, but no matter what, family was most important to her. Anne loved being with her kids, being involved with their activities, and going on vacations with them. When her children were younger she even made costumes so they could be in parades (and they won 1st place). Anne was the best wife, mother and grandma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters, Peggy and Elsie Fhuere; brothers, Dean, Carl and Donn Bieber; sister, Ruth Waller; daughter-in-law, Sheri Fhuere; and grandson, Al Fhuere.
Anne is survived by her children, Michael Fhuere, Sam (Samantha) Fhuere, Alice Fhuere and Cindy Gardner, all of North Platte, Mark (Luanne) Fhuere of Grand Island, Mat (Linda) Fhuere of Eagle Mountain, UT, and Kevin (Theresa) Fhuere of Edgar, NE; her brother, Dale Bieber of Tucson, AZ; 10 grandsons and a granddaughter; 7 great-grandkids; and other family.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Odean Colonial Chapel with Pastor Kem Reeder officiating. Burial will follow in Fort McPherson National Cemetery. Visitation is prior to the service at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore which is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.
