After a cold and blustery Wednesday, the National Weather Service in North Platte is forecasting a return to spring as the weekend approaches.
With north winds blowing 15 to 20 mph throughout Wednesday, the high is only expected to reach the low-40s.
By Thursday, the mercury will begin to tick back up, with a high in the low- to mid-50s, rising to the upper-60s by Friday.
Saturday and Sunday, skies will be sunny and the thermometer will reach the low- to mid-70s, the NWS said, rising to around 80 on Monday and Tuesday.
There is no precipitation in the long-range forecast.
