
The North Platte City Council will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, with the meeting also available for livestream viewing through the City of North Platte website.
Among the items on the consent agenda are several liquor licenses and special designated license requests tied to upcoming summer events and NebraskaLand Days activities. Council members are expected to consider an application from SGL Express, LLC doing business as Starting Gate Liquors for a Class C liquor license at 1807 West A Street #9.
Additional requests include multiple special designated licenses for music events at Peg Leg Brewing on Halligan Drive, a tasting event at Fat Dogs North on South Dewey Street, and a beer garden request for Platte Bar on West 6th Street during NebraskaLand Days weekend.
Council members will also consider approving the transfer of shares in Cody Keno, Inc. from Bill Snodgrass and Mike Hamik to Mike Neverivy and Ryan Palabrica.
On the regular agenda, the council is expected to consider approval of the resolution for the 2026 NebraskaLand Days Parade. Members will also hold the second reading of an ordinance to rezone property near East Francis Street, Bryan Avenue and South Tabor Avenue from transitional agricultural zoning to highway commercial and residential districts.
Another agenda item involves lease-purchase financing through U.S. Bancorp Government Leasing and Finance, Inc. for two Freightliner semi-tractors with extended warranties and two Mac Waste moving floor semi-trailers for use by the city sanitation department.
Council members are also scheduled to consider approval of claims and warrants totaling more than $10.8 million tied to approved city expenses and financing obligations.
The meeting agenda also includes time for public comment and informational updates from the mayor, council, city administrator and city attorney.
