NORTH PLATTE – Families in the North Platte area are invited to the 11th annual Holy Spirit Fall Festival this Sunday, September 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event promises a full day of food, games, prizes, and community fun.

Jerome Gilg, a representative from Holy Spirit Church, says the festival has grown over the past decade into a highlight for the local community. “We knew that we wanted to do something of service in the community as well as build community within our church, and this is a good way to do it,” he said.

A roast turkey dinner is a centerpiece of the event, with meals priced at $15 for adults and $6 for children 10 and under. Guests can dine in or take advantage of a convenient drive-through option. The festival typically serves about 600 people each year.

In addition to the meal, the festival will feature children’s games like penny toss, ring toss, and a duck pond fishing game. Attendees can also enjoy a silent auction, a country store with baked goods, and a variety of raffle prizes—including over $2,000 in cash and hundreds of dollars in gift cards donated by local businesses.

Gilg emphasizes that the event is about more than fundraising: it’s an opportunity for families to gather and enjoy quality time together. “People are looking for a chance to be together as family. That’s what we’re trying to do here,” he said.

The Holy Spirit Fall Festival promises to be a fun, community-focused event for all ages, combining family activities with a chance to support local church initiatives.
