Beverly (Bev) Albrecht passed away in Lincoln, NE on July 29, 2024, at the age of 71. She was born March 18, 1953 to Donald and Etta May (Stinnette) Abel in Sutherland, NE. She was raised in North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School in 1971.

Bev met and dated Donald Albrecht in high school and they continued dating while attending college in separate states. Bev went on to Lincoln for Cosmetology School and Don went to Kansas State University. Once Bev graduated from Cosmetology School she returned to North Platte with Don and they were wed on September 9, 1973.

Bev was happy to stay home to raise her three children, Edd, Amy, and Kellie, teaching them many of life’s lessons and grew on to love her grandchildren immensely. Bev enjoyed working as a Para at North Platte Public Schools until her retirement in 2004.  She always loved her puppies so much and was very creative, which showed through her beautiful quilts that she made and gave to family and friends. Bev was generous, caring and loved being a mother, grandmother and friend.  She truly loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and pets. She was never without one of her treasured dachshunds.  When she wasn’t crafting, enjoying her beautiful flowers, or watching a Lifetime original with her lap full of puppies she was venturing out to garage sales with her best friend.

Bev was proceeded in death by her parents, Etta May and Donald Abel. She is survived by her spouse, Donald Albrecht, son, Edd (Jill) Albrecht of Cozad, daughters Amy (Jess) Phillips of North Platte, and Kellie (Cameron) Ristine of Lincoln, grandchildren Ellie, Abbie, Emily, Eden, and Avi Albrecht of Cozad, Bryce (Katie) Weeter of Omaha, Dylan Weeter of San Diego, CA and Brady and Piper Ristine of Lincoln. Her brother, Donald Abel of Omaha, and numerous nieces and nephews along with many special friends.

Memorials can go to the family for later distribution or to wag-n-train rescue. Funeral arrangements still pending.
