North Platte-area firefighters are battling a grass fire south of North Platte late Tuesday afternoon.
The Nebraska State Patrol urged residents to avoid the scene to allow crews to do their work.
Red flag warnings remain in effect throughout the Lincoln County area until 7 p.m. Wednesday.
