
The Mid-Plains Community College Board of Governors will hold its regular monthly meeting Wednesday, March 18, at the North Platte Community College North Campus.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the campus located at 1101 Halligan Drive in North Platte.
Board members will start the meeting with roll call followed by an open forum, giving students, faculty, staff and members of the public an opportunity to address the board. Individuals wishing to speak are asked to sign in at the public information table before the meeting. Under Nebraska public meetings law, the board will not take immediate action on items raised during the open forum unless they are already on the agenda.
During the consent agenda portion of the meeting, the board will review minutes from the February 18 board work session and regular meeting, along with the February financial report.
Several action items required by law are also scheduled for consideration.
The board will review and consider approval of February bills totaling $2,192,293.89. Board members who received reimbursements during the month will abstain from voting on those specific items.
Reimbursements include:
- Molly Jeffres – $76.80
- Cynthia Duncan – $111.60
- Matt Broz – $101.50
- Megan McGown – $33.20
- Kim Korgan – $101.50
Board members will also consider bids for the purchase of a 15-passenger van as well as bids to replace three minivans in the North Platte fleet.
Another agenda item involves a bid to replace the ventilation system in the welding lab at the North Platte Community College North Campus West facility.
The meeting will also include an accreditation report and updates from the college president and cabinet before adjournment.
