NORTH PLATTE, NEB - The City of North Platte is gearing up for its 150th year birthday celebration on September 13th. The event will be held at Cody Park from 4pm - 8pm central time. The Cody Park rides will be free for kids to ride while the concession stand will be open to serve ice cream.&nbsp;

There will be a hot dog meal featuring chips and a drink and only cost $1.50 and it is cash only to purchase the meal. There will be music performed by NPHS Marching Band and also a jazz performance by Canteen Legacy Jazz Ensemble.&nbsp;
