NORTH PLATTE, Nebraska —The Salvation Army of North Platte announced today that it’s looking for seasonal staff to help run its Summer Day Camp for local kids.
Three summer camp-related positions are currently open: full-time camp counselor (up to 40 hours per week), part-time camp counselor (up to 29 hours per week), and part-time cook (about 25 hours per week).
The counselor positions are tasked with providing a safe, engaging, and values-based environment for children by supervising daily activities, building positive relationships, mentoring youth, and helping facilitate recreational, educational, and character-building programs. The cook position plans, prepares, and serves meals and snacks for day camp participants while ensuring proper food safety, cleanliness, and efficient kitchen operations.
Summer Day Camp runs from June 1 through August 7, 2026 – and takes place at The Salvation Army of North Platte (1020 N Adams Ave).
