Rita Ann Wells, 90, of Paxton, passed away on November 1, 2022 at the Ogallala Community Hospital, Ogallala, NE.
She was born on April 8, 1932 to Leo Paulik and Lottie (Przybyl) at Hammond, Indiana. She graduated from Bishop Noll High School in East Chicago, Illinois with the class of 1950. On May 18, 1957 she married Glen T. Wells in Hammond, IN. They lived in Paxton for several years.
Rita worked at the former Stuckey's Pecan Shoppe in Roscoe for seven years and later for Banner Health as a home health aide for about 20 years.
She was a long-time member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala, and a charter member of the Women of the Moose Lodge, filling all offices in that fraternal organization.
Rita enjoyed playing pitch with family and friends, reading, drinking coffee, and spending time with her family.
Rita is survived by her loving husband Glen T. Wells of 65 years, sons; Glen Thomas Wells, Jr., James Christopher Wells, Lee Orin Wells, Kevin Paul (Tari) Wells, and Justin Robert Wells (Karen Bowlin). Three grandchildren, Donny, Harrison and Lily Wells, and one great grandchild, Anna Keith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Leo Paulik and Hilary Paulik .
Visitation will be Friday, November 4, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Draucker Funeral Home.
Rosary will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 at 6:00 PM at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Ogallala, Nebraska.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Ogallala , with Father Bryan Ernest officiating.
Graveside Services will be Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the Paxton Cemetery,
A Memorial has been established to the Moose Heart.
