Will Coe and First nationals hold off late Kearney rally to win 6-5

The FNBO Nationals improved to 24-12 on the season with a 6-5 victory over Rival Kearney last night. 

Will Coe pitched a complete game for the Nationals in which he gave up those five runs on eight hits. Coe also struck out five. 

The Nationals took an early 3-0 lead but let Kearney tie it in the third inning with some hot hitting. 

North Platte was able to get back on top after that, scoring on an error by Kearney but again let the Runza tie it in the bottom of the 4th.

A three run 7th inning put North Platte back in the lead and they held on after a rally by Kearney in the bottom of the 7th. 

The seniors head to Cheyenne to play in a holiday tournament over the weekend. 

The Juniors lost their game against Kearney 2-7, they will be heading to the GI/Hastings tournament over the holiday weekend.
