Coach Jake Hasenauer and his cross country crew picked up right where they left off last year. Running well and representing North Platte by bringing home hardware.
Already on the season, the teams have an invite win and good finishes at their other runs. NPHS runner Evan Caudy is regularly spoken of as a top runner in the state.
The rest of Nebraska has started to take notice. In the most recent coaches poll, North Platte has started to appear. The boys have yet to crack the top 10 in a very competitive field but they are 2nd in "others receiving votes". The girls have cracked the top 10, tied with Omaha Marian for 10th place with 17 points.
