Geraldine Louise Fowler, age 75, passed away on September 21, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 20, 1944 in Lewellen, Nebraska to Clifford C. and Mildred G. (Crippen) Shields.
Geraldine graduated from Big Springs High School in Big Springs, Nebraska and attended college in North Platte, Nebraska for 2 years. She married Robert Wager and to this union 3 children were born: Roberta, Aaron, and Clifford. Geraldine worked as a CNA at North Platte Care Center for many years. Later she married Vern Fowler and they continued to live in North Plattte, Nebraska. She liked to crochet, listen to music, and play bingo, as well as enjoying cooking, attending church, going to Cody Park to watch the animals, and viewing their Christmas display. Her family was the center of her life, especially her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Roberta (Stephen) Fletcher of North Platte, Nebraska; five grandchildren: Brent (Amanda) Wagner, Zach (Aspen) Wagner, Scott Sloggett all of North Platte, and Season Wagner and Reed Wagner of Kearney, Nebraska; four great-grandchildren: Isabella Wagner, Olivia Wagner, Noah Wagner, and Ava Wagner; her sister Darlene Armstrong of Big Springs, Nebraska; and several other family members and friends.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her sons Aaron and Clifford, and her grandparents, including Ruth Tucker.
Visitation and book signing will be from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte, Nebraska.
