Kathy McCaslin, age 72, of North Platte, NE, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Great Plains Health.
Kathy was born in Grand Island on May 27, 1950, to Richard and Lorna (Cruise) McCaslin. She graduated from Grand Island High School in 1969. In 1974, Kathy was blessed with a son, Kevin McCaslin.
She spent a large part of her life working various jobs and caring for her grandchildren, nieces, and nephew. In 1998 she moved to Englewood, CO, with her mother, Lorna, to help manage an apartment complex. They resided there until 2006, then returned to North Platte. Kathy helped care for Lorna until she passed in 2013.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Sierra; and her brother, Michael.
She is survived by her son, Kevin (Angie) McCaslin of Bellingham, WA; brothers, Dennis McCaslin of North Platte and Patrick (Tina) McCaslin of Mack, CO; granddaughters, Lesley, Kara and Danica; her nieces, Susan Caudillo and Abby (Ben) McCaslin; and nephew, Alec McCaslin.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Odean Colonial Chapel with Chaplain Brenda Lee officiating. Cremation was chosen.
