HERSHEY — Hershey Public Schools announced on its social media account Tuesday afternoon that longtime North Platte Public Schools PE Teacher and Assistant AD Bernie Madison will be the Hershey Activities Director and Jr/Sr High Assistant Principal when the 2023-24 school year begins in August.
Madison is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Kearney (Kearney State). He has been in education for 21 years as a teacher, coach and assistant activities director.
Madison is married to wife Cathy and they have three kids — Austin (27), Conner (24) and Michaela (18). Last month, Hershey announced that Jordan Cudney would be the new Hershey Jr/Sr High Principal. He is finishing his first year as activities director, a role he'll pass on to Madison. The two worked together at North Platte Public Schools.
