Helen Harriett Trumbull (1936 - 2020)

     Helen H. Trumbull, age 84, of North Platte, Nebraska, formerly of Tryon, Nebraska, died on August 17, 2020 at Great Plains Health.
     Helen was born on August 7, 1936 to Clyde and Lulu (Haney) Wilson in Tryon, Nebraska.  She attended and graduated from McPherson County High School with the class of 1954.  Helen began teaching at a county school in Elsmere, Nebraska while taking classes at Kearney Teachers College.  On December 23, 1956 she married Larry Trumbull in Tyron, NE.  The couple lived west of Ringgold, Nebraska where Helen raised their children and Larry.
     Helen was a member of the United Methodist Church, always raised a big garden, was active in extension clubs, enjoyed embroidery, playing pitch and going to the senior dances.  She was very family oriented and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
     Preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Trumbull; a son-in-law, Mike Mell; brothers Jim (Doris) Wilson and John Wilson; a sister, Loree (Marvin) Huffman; and in-laws Harry and Marie Trumbull.
     Helen is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Rod Trumbull of Opelika, Alabama, Rick (Rose) Trumbull of Tryon, Nebraska, Roger (Kim) Trumbull of North Platte, Nebraska, Mark (Stacey) Trumbull of Ogallala, Nebraska, and Michelle Mell of Ogallala, Nebraska; grandchildren, Wendy Trumbull (Rod Schall) of Kearney, Nebraska, Tracy (Rocky) Wiezorek of North Platte, Nebraska, Holly Trumbull of Kearney, Nebraska, Matt (Mary) Trumbull of Madison, Alabama, Al and Eric (Crista) Trumbull of Tryon, Nebraka, Whitney (Shane) Ruh of Tryon, Nebraska, Sidney Mell of Lincoln, Nebraska, Shawna Mell of Kearney, Nebraska, Landon Trumbull of Rapid City, South Dakota, Kameryn Trumbull of Ogallala, Nebraska, and Derek (Stephanie) Uhrmacher of Ayr, Nebraska; great-grandchildren Shaw Frederick-Mell of Kearney, Nebraska, Cameron McClellen of Kearney, Nebraska, Jestena Wiezorek, Lilye Wiezorek, Kaurlee Wiezorek, Mystre Wiezorek, Novalia Wiezorek, and Olyve Wiezorek all of North Platte, Nebraska, Lane Beck of Central City, Nebraska, Sophie Armour of Ayr, Nebraska and Olivia Uhrmacher of Ayr, Nebraska; a brother, Bob (Velma) Wilson of Brownsville, Texas; a sister-in-law, Marge Wilson of Omaha, Nebraska; a hose of nieces, nephews and many friends.
     Memorials have been established in Helen's name to Great Plains Health Foundation or the First United Methodist Church.
     A private family service will be held at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska with Rev. Doctor Doug Delp officiating.  Online condolences can be shared at www.adamsswanson.com, which is in charge of arrangements.
