North Platte, Neb. (AP) — The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday morning at the Lincoln County Courthouse to discuss a variety of agenda items, including infrastructure bids, law enforcement support, and nonprofit updates.
The meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Room, beginning with an opening prayer and approval of the April 28 meeting minutes. Commissioners will then consider routine claims and treasurer’s receipts, and are expected to authorize a right-of-way permit requested by Allo Communications.
At 9:15 a.m., the board will briefly recess and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization to approve prior meeting minutes and review property tax corrections and exemptions submitted by the county assessor and treasurer.
A presentation by United in Purpose, a local nonprofit collaborative, is set for 9:30 a.m. Representatives will provide updates on the Connection Homeless Shelter, which serves individuals and families in need across the county.
Later in the morning, the board will consider two items from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. At 9:50 a.m., commissioners will review a proposal for purchasing new tasers. At 9:55 a.m., they will discuss a letter of support for the department’s application for a Union Pacific Railroad safety grant.
At 10 a.m., commissioners will receive and review bids for asphalt improvement projects labeled 2025-02 under the Lincoln County Department of Roads.
The meeting is open to the public and will be held at the Lincoln County Courthouse in North Platte.
