Clarice L. Barrett, 87, of North Platte, NE passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 21, 1934 in Grand Island, NE, daughter of the late Orris Fay and Eva Merle (Betts) Russell.
Clarice graduated from North Platte High School in 1951. She married Hadley Barrett in 1953 and they ranched north of North Platte for many years. Clarice owned and operated the Hayloft. Her business fulfilled her passion for collecting antiques. The Hayloft provided charity to some and a warm social gathering place to others.
Clarice was preceded in death by her parents, Orris and Eva; brother, Dale and sister, Donna (Brase).
She is survived by her son, Trent Barrett; daughters, Michelle Corley (Randy) and Kim Jurgens; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor John Sexson officiating. Visitation and memorial book signing will be Tuesday, August 31st from 12 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
