Kim A. Stewart, 75, received his eagle’s wings to join his heavenly Father on March 28, 2022, in Independence, Kansas after an extended illness.
Kim was born to Fred and Eleanore Stewart on May 21, 1946, in Denver, Colorado. When he was young the family moved to Grainton, NE. He and his childhood friends had a great time and participated in numerous shenanigans. He went to grade school in Grainton and then high school in Wallace, NE. In June of 1964, Kim joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged in April 1969. He was proud of his country and served it with honor and did until he left this earth.
On March 2, 1968, Kim married the love of his life, Connie (Gibson) Stewart in Grant, NE. To this loving union three children were born: Mischelle, Jeffrey and Christina.
Kim worked in law enforcement in various cities in Nebraska and then in August 1978 moved his family to Wallace, NE where he worked for Nebraska Public Power District at Sutherland until his retirement in 2008.
Kim loved life and never knew a stranger and in turn friends knew they could rely on him for that helping hand. He cherished watching his children and grandchildren’s activities, whether he was standing against the wall in a gym door, sitting in a music program, coaching little league basketball, umpiring girls’ softball or at a baseball field cheering on some of his favorites.
Love of family was Kim’s number one pride and he showed it.
