Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska Head Start is now accepting applications in their service area for the 2023-2024 program year.
Head Start has been providing quality Pre-K for over 50 years to families and children. Our goal is to help families who are unable to afford quality preschool for their children and give them a head start on education.
We encourage families with children who have disabilities to apply; Head Start enrolls a minimum of 10% of children with disabilities.
Head Start is a community based comprehensive preschool program for children and their families. Children that are 3 or 4 years old by July 31* and meet Federal Income Guidelines are eligible.
Information required at time of application includes:
1. Original birth certificate of child
2. Child's immunization record
3. Proof of Income such as - W2, Tax Return or 3 consecutive pay stubs (3 pay periods in a row), TANF, SSI or SNAP 4. Insurance/Medicaid card, if any
