The Nebraska Department of Transportation announced around 1:40 p.m. CDT Sunday afternoon that Interstate 80 is now open to resume travel in Nebraska. They add that winter conditions exist not only in the Panhandle but also in Wyoming and in Colorado

The National Weather Service in North Platte reported snowfall accumulations as much as 10 inches of snow near Big Springs, 9 inches north of Chappell, and 8 inches south of Grant as of Sunday morning.
