
Debra Kay Morgan, 64, of Curtis, NE formerly of North Platte, NE passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at her home.
She was born on March 12, 1958 in Abilene, TX the daughter of Raymond Ernest and Minnie Lou (Elger) McKenney.
Debra was a graduate of North Platte High School and attended Mid-Plains Community College. She was an avid rock collector and enjoyed camping. She was an award-winning cook and loved cooking for her friends and family. Deb was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends. She was affectionately called by everyone “Mom”, and if you came into her home you were treated as family.
Those left to cherish Deb’s memory are her father, Raymond McKenney of Holbrook; daughter, Lisa Morado (Jon) of Curtis; son, Asa McKenney (Melody) of North Platte; daughter, Crystal Quinn (Michael) of Puryear, TN; grandchildren: Bash, Tobi, Corbin, Bodi, Taylor, Tanner, Chas, Harlow, Jax, Curtis, Elizabeth, Jamie, Robbey, and one on the way Spicy-baby; brothers, Leslie (Susie) McKenney of CO, and Steven (Robbie) McKenney of David City; sisters, Sharon (Doug) Keith of Brady, Dorothy (Bob) Buckler of MO, and Connie (Kristopher) Richards of North Platte; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Minnie McKenney; grandmother, Addie Elger; husband, James Call; brother, Vernon McKenney; nephew, P.J. Doherty; and niece, Amber Roos.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor Anne Durboraw officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3rd at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
