
Cynthia 'Cindy' Cotton was 70 years old when she passed away at home in North Platte surrounded by her family on June 4, 2023.
Cindy was born in Gothenburg on August 30, 1952, to Robert and Dorothy Gustafson. She grew up in North Platte where she graduated from N.P.P.S. in 1970 then attended nursing school in Denver. Cindy later enrolled in the Lab Tech Program at Mid Plains Community College. She went on to work for the Brady Rural Health Clinic as a lab tech and office manager until retiring in 2016.
On October 12, 1972, Cindy was united in marriage to Keith Cotton in Denver, then they returned to North Platte in '75 and have lived here ever since. Cindy enjoyed watching sports on TV and her birds and squirrels. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joe Gustafson.
Survivors include Cindy's husband, Keith, and daughters, Terra (Jason) McKenney of North Platte and Selene (Joseph) Salvatore of Elkhorn; her brother, John Gustafson of North Platte; grandchildren, Minnie, Owen, Emmett, Joshua and Andrew; as well as other family.
In keeping with Cindy's wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the North Platte Animal Shelter. Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
