Custer County - Officials say a grass fire sparked mid-afternoon on Thursday with multiple agencies responding.
According to a press release from the Custer County Emergency Management, around 3:38 pm on Thursday, the Broken Bow Fire Department was paged for a grass fire that was at the intersection of Gates and Round Valley Road.
With a high wind warning, wind gusts up to 40 mph which the fire was spreading quickly to the southeast. Mutual aid was requested and well over 30 departments responded to the call.
