Juan Baeza was born October 10, 2001, at Hastings, Nebraska, and went to heaven on October 23, 2021, following an automobile accident outside of Cozad, Nebraska. He was 20 years old.
Juan spent most of his life in Greeley, Colorado, then moved to Wellfleet, Nebraska, in 2015. He attended school and played on the football team at Maywood High School. After graduating, Juan attended Central Community College in Columbus and earned his welding certificate. Juan then returned to Wellfleet to work for Tanner and Bob Lemon.
Juan liked going to country music concerts and rodeos and even tried bull riding, which he loved. Juan was a good son, brother, cousin and friend. He especially liked spending quality time with those he loved. Juan was taken much too soon and will forever be loved and missed.
He leaves behind his family which includes his mother and stepfather, Aracely and Abel Esparza, of Wellfleet; brother, Santiago Esparza, stepbrothers, Abel and Elias Esparza, and sister, Iris Baeza; his grandparents, Tomas and Carmen Morales Parra; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends.
Services will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in North Platte on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Celebrant Father Bernard Lorenz. Burial will follow in the Wellfleet Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Tuesday at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.
