NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-The North Platte Police Department received a surprise at the weekly City Council meeting on Tuesday.
Prior to the regular agenda items at the meeting, Rev. Michael Broome of the African Coalition of America surprised North Platte Chief of Police Daniel Hudson by presenting the department with a plaque thanking them for their service to the African American citizens of North Platte.
