
Thomas Lee Collins, 59, of North Platte, passed away September 2, 2021 at Denver Hospice. He was born on July 25, 1962 to Donald L. and Barbara K. (Thompson) Collins in North Platte.
Thomas graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1981. He attended Mid-Plains Community College and studied mechanics. He worked for Joe Dye Ford for several years. Thomas worked for Simplot and was a DJ for the Country (his favorite job). He was a member of the Road MC Biker Club.
Thomas was united in marriage to Rita Mora on October 25, 1994 in North Platte. He enjoyed cooking, music, dancing, and playing pool. He loved his family, his dogs, and especially his grandchildren. He was a very giving person but had the ability to show the “Collins’s temper”.
Survivors include his wife Rita of North Platte; children, Tigger (Chris) Mora of North Platte, Crystal Mora of North Platte; grandchildren, Tanner, Danny, Ana, Caleb; siblings, Cheryl Nichols of North Platte, Victor (Tami) Collins of North Platte, Jess (Marsha) Collins of North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Victoria Nichols, George (Nikole) Nichols, Clifford Nichols, Donald Collins, Abbey Collins, Emilee Tetherow, Jacque Harper; great nieces and nephews, Ezekiel, Isabella, and Olivia Borges.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David and Clifford; brother-in law, Dallas Nichols.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 16, 2021 at North Platte Cemetery with Terry Collins officiating.
