He also pleaded no contest. The charges stem from the September 14, 2018 killing of 22-year-old Ethan Pohlmeier at North Platte's Centennial Park.Prosecutors say the duo had made plans to meet with Pohlmeier for a marijuana deal, one ounce for $180. However, prosecutors say Pohlmeier realized Martinez and Turner were not going to pay him and reached into the car Martinez and Turner were in. Prosecutors say Martines shot Pohlmeier two times with a .22 caliber handgun.Prosecutors say Martinez then shoved Pohlmeier away from the vehicle and shot him four more times. Martinez and Turner were remanded to the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services to serve their sentences. Both will be eligible for parole upon serving fifty percent of their sentences. They were given credit for 880 days already served.
