NPHS Wrestling: Season wrap up! Pictures, video and Audio!

2020 and 2021 will always be viewed as one of the hardest stretches for athletics in general. Sports during a pandemic at one point came to a standstill as even multibillion-dollar professional leagues halted play in response.
But out of that challenging time emerged a team of steel that would go down in North Platte High School history books as one of the best ever. In a season that many thought would not happen due to the nature of the sport of wrestling, this team became laser-focused and dedicated to the cause.

The ends they say, justify the means.

In the case of Bulldog wrestling, those ends are one of, if not the, greatest wrestling season in school history. A season that saw the team beat rivals Kearney and Grand Island in the same year (Grand Island ranked #2 in the state at the time!). A season that saw 13 individual wrestlers make it through districts and into the state championship. A season that culminated in a team state runner-up, two individual state champions, and six medal winners overall.

This is a look at that season. We start with hearing from head coach Dale Hall:

Coach Tyson Chromy put together a video from senior night you can see the tweet with that video:

A few GIF's from State wrestling thanks to Coach Tyson Chromy for these:
