The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, March 2 at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Room at the Lincoln County Courthouse. The meeting will be streamed live on the county’s YouTube channel.
Commissioners will open with prayer before considering approval of minutes from the Feb. 23 meeting and holding a public comment period. Routine business includes reviewing claims and treasurer’s receipts.
Commissioners will also consider a special designated liquor permit submitted by La Casa Del Rios LLC for an event at the Lincoln County Historical Museum on March 27.
At 9:15 a.m., the board will recess and convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization. The Equalization Board will consider approval of its Feb. 23 meeting minutes, hold a public comment period and review certificates of correction and refund submitted by the county assessor.
Following adjournment or recess of the Board of Equalization, commissioners will reconvene at 9:30 a.m. to discuss and consider renewal of the county’s wind and hail insurance coverage.
At 9:40 a.m., Todd Herndon, superintendent of the Lincoln County Noxious Weed Department, is scheduled to provide an update. Commissioners will discuss and consider purchasing a spray truck for the department.
At 10 a.m., the Lincoln County Dive Team will meet with commissioners to discuss vehicle needs for transporting volunteers and equipment. The board will consider acquiring a vehicle for the dive team from another county department.
At 10:20 a.m., commissioners are set to review another special designated liquor permit request, this one submitted by Skyline Liquor for an event at The Farmhouse on April 4.
The board reserves the right to enter closed session, if necessary, to discuss pending or imminent litigation, real estate purchases, security matters or personnel evaluations. The agenda also includes time to hear concerns from elected officials and department heads, along with commissioner committee reports.
