With deepest sorrow, we announce the death of Richard (Rick) LeeRoy Schneider of Greeley, CO. He was born on August 12, 1946, in Benkelman, NE to Ivan Schneider and Donna Schneider (Sharp). And passed away on April 3, 2023, in Yuma, AZ at the age of 76.
Rick at a young age chose a profession versus education to provide for his family. His businesses were successful for over 40 years. He was married for 48 years to Arlene (Pettey) with whom he had three boys: Alan, Justin, and Ivan.
Because of his upbringing, Rick has passed on his hard workmanship and knowledge to his kids and grandkids who have all been successful in their lives.
One of Rick’s greatest interests was to drive around “picking” and adventure; always looking for the next project to work on. His personality was unique. He showed his love for others by being strict, helpful and giving.
What our family personally loved and will miss the most is his laugh and ornery grin. In his latest years, he has done what he loved. Running equipment on job sites, restoring cars, and drag racing his '56 Ford!
Rick was preceded in death by his parents and oldest sister Connie.
His memory will be kept alive by his family: Sons- Alan, Justin, and Ivan; siblings- Marshall, Barry, Tina, and Julie; and many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. (MT), Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Eden Cemetery near Wauneta. A celebration of life will follow at the roofed pavilion on Enders Reservoir, Enders, Nebraska
