Behind pitching from Alexis Jensen and Jordy Frahm, the No. 1 Nebraska softball team dealt a one-hit shutout and defeated the GCU Lopes, 1-0, to move onto the NCAA Super Regionals for the second consecutive season.

The Huskers will host their first Super Regional in program history next weekend. NU will face the No. 13 seed Oklahoma State Cowgirls. The two teams split two games earlier this season before the third game was cancelled due to weather. Dates, times and TV information will be determined after all games today are finished. Details will be updated on huskers.com and @HuskerSoftball on Instagram, X and Facebook.

With the win today, the Big Red improved to 49-6 on the season and extended its win streak to 24 games. That is the longest win streak in program history.

Alexis Jensen (24-2) grabbed the win in the circle, as she tossed five innings with only one hit, seven strikeouts and one walk. Both of Jensen’s season win (24) and strikeout (210) totals tie school records for the freshman class. Jordy Frahm grabbed her 12th save of the season, which ties the Big Ten single-season saves record.

Offensively, Hannah Camenzind provided the one run of the game, in the form of a solo home run. Samantha Bland added two hits.
