Jerry Whitson, age 79, of North Platte, NE passed away on November 13, 2020 at North Platte Care Center.
He was born on May 26, 1941 to Woodrow and Margaret Whitson in Hollis, OK and grew up in Texas and graduated from Dodson High School in 1960 and moved to NE and worked for several car dealers as a mechanic. Jerry owned Whitson Auto Repair and he retired in 2000.
He was united in marriage on October 19, 1970 to Sandi McConnell: and to this union 1 daughter and 4 sons were born.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Woody Whitson.
He is survived by his wife Sandi; daughter, Melissa (Craig) Malsbury of North Platte, NE; sons, Rob (Tina Arguello) Whitson of North Platte, NE, Darren (Phillip Patton) Whitson of Tulsa, OK, Don (Dennise) Whitson of Lincoln, NE and Larry (Tracy) Whitson of North Platte, NE; sister, Alice Kay (Paul) Burch of Amarillo, TX; and brother, Ken Whitson of Oklahoma City, OK; and grandchildren, Reed Wagner of Lincoln, NE, Season Malsbury (George Gipe) of Kearney, NE, Ashley (Bo) Young of North Platte and Arlana (Cameron) Walther of North Platte.
The family would like to thank the staff at North Platte Care Center.
