The North Platte Community College Knights dominated in their first home volleyball game of the season Wednesday night.
The Knights defeated Central Community College in three sets: 25-14, 25-19 and 25-15, bringing the Knights’ overall record to 4-5.
Alysen Daniels, of Mullen, led the game with 10 kills. Peyton Negley, of North Platte, and Taylor Hansen, of Yuma, Colo., were right behind her with nine each.
Ruby Valle, of Weldona, Colo., had 23 digs, and Erica Hopping, of Sutherland, managed 33 assists.
“This was our Region IX opener, and I thought we came out and played well,” said NPCC head volleyball coach Alexa McCall. “We had a pretty spread-out offense because we passed well. I also thought we kept serve really well and put them out of system. It was great to have fans see the girls play as well.”
The Knights will head west this weekend where they will take on Western Nebraska Community College, Casper College, Laramie County Community College and Eastern Wyoming College as part of the Eastern Wyoming Invitational.
