Bruce Alan Jensen (1956-2021)

     Bruce Alan Jensen, age 65, of North Platte, Nebraska died on April 23, 2021 at home, surrounded by family.  He was born on January 13, 1956 at Kearney, Nebraska to Carl Jensen, Jr. and Maxine (Jones) Jensen.
     He graduated from Kearney High in 1974, before going on to receive his Bachelors Degree in 1978 from Kearney State College.
     Bruce was united in marriage to Carla DeAnn Ernst of Hastings, Nebraska on March 26, 1976 at Zion Lutheran Church and the couple made their home in Kearney, Nebraska and later moved to North Platte, Nebraska in 1978.
     He moved to North Platte with his family to continue his job with Safeway before retiring as Sales Manager for Mentzer Oil.
     Bruce enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing and watching all types of sports.  He also enjoyed going to his cabin in Wyoming.  He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
     He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church  and the Moose Lodge.
     Bruce is survived by his wife, Carla; sons, Todd and wife Heather of North Platte, NE, Brian and wife Brandi of Glenrock, WY, and Jason and wife DeeAnn of North Platte, NE; brother Steve and wife Deb Jensen of Kearney, NE; sister Diane and husband George Holmes of Bella Vista, AR; sister-in-law, Marth Grothen; brother-in-law, Randy and wife Sue Ernst; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; aunts & uncles; and in-laws.
     A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Patrick Sipes officiating.  There will be a book signing from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte, NE.
     Memorials are requested to First Evangelical Lutheran Church or to the family to be designated at a later date.
