NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The North Platte Pow Wow has received $10,350 in grant funding from Visit North Platte to support its 2025 event, organizers announced this week.
The funding will help cover promotion, advertising, and prize money, ensuring the event continues to serve as a major cultural celebration and regional tourism attraction.
“This support from Visit North Platte is vital to the success of our event,” said Char Swalberg, Pow Wow organizer. “It allows us to continue offering an authentic, welcoming experience that honors Native traditions while inviting visitors from across the region to engage with our community.”
The 2025 North Platte Pow Wow is scheduled for July 18–20 at the historic Buffalo Bill Ranch, once home to the legendary showman whose Wild West shows helped shape public perceptions of Native Americans. Today, organizers say, the land serves as a place to elevate Native voices, resilience, and living tradition.
Sponsorship, vendor space, and registration opportunities are still available. More information can be found at https://www.facebook.com/NPpowwow.
