NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (Aug. 25, 2025) — The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners is set to consider a slate of issues Monday, including a conditional use permit for a private recreational camp, a request from the sheriff’s office to mark county roads for aircraft speed enforcement, and preliminary work on the county’s 2025-26 budget.

The board will meet at 9 a.m. at the Lincoln County Courthouse, followed at 9:15 a.m. by the county’s Board of Equalization.

Commissioners are expected to vote on Resolution 2025-16, granting AHA III Properties, LLC permission to build a private camp about four miles west of Sutherland Reservoir. Plans call for three small cabins and a larger lodge on property zoned for transitional agriculture.

Also on the agenda are routine approvals of claims, treasurer’s receipts, and right-of-way permits requested by Consolidated Companies, Inc. and Charter Communications. Commissioners will also review special designated liquor licenses requested by Pal’s Brewing Company for events at Homestead Pumpkin Patch in September, October and November.

At 9:30 a.m., the board will take up a joint request from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the county road department to add roadway markings used for aircraft speed enforcement. Fifteen minutes later, commissioners will consider adoption of Resolution 2025-17, setting the final property tax levy allocation for local political subdivisions.

The meeting will also include employee service recognitions, including Quenton Smith and Jason Trosper for five years of service, Randy Terry for 10 years, and Larry Meyer for 20 years.

At 10 a.m., commissioners are scheduled to review the county’s 2025 inventory, followed by discussion of whether to expand the Nebraska International Port of the Plains District boundaries to include the North Platte Municipal Airport.

CPA Susan Maline is set to present the preliminary 2025-26 county budget at 10:40 a.m., after which the board may enter closed session to discuss litigation, real estate, security or personnel matters.
